Wrote another article, this time on my recent conversion. Insert soul saving joke here..

And yes, I’ve gone from a 96 Cherokee to 2011 Kia Soul and I am happy with that decision.
I actually really really dig the Kia Soul. Surprised how much fun it is to toss around. Had no right handling as well it does, especially on the crappy skinny stock tires.

Kia and Hyundai make some pretty solid cars right now. My girlfriend has an Elantra GT and she loves it. Glad to hear you like the Soul!

I’ve had a Soul as a rental a couple times and I enjoyed driving both!

When it comes time to sell this car, whatever you do, don’t sell it to anyone named Lucifer.

I’ve had a 98 and an 05 Hyundai Tiburon and while they weren’t brilliant cars, they were fun and sporty enough. I even took the 05 on multiple 5,000 mile roadtrips including Tail of the Dragon.
Both of them were incredibly rock solid, dependable. When I got rid of the 05 at like 170,000 miles the only thing I had ever had to replace was the radiator. Still had the original clutch, starter, exhaust, etc..
Expecting nothing less with the Soul!

That’s how I happened to like them! At first I was like “uh, whatever” then after 200 miles of driving the Soul rental I was all “wow, I really like this little thing”

Nice! I have a massive mini-series in the works about various things over the pass few years. I’m saving it for the winter months when there’s really nothing to write about on a bike blog.
